Envi Interior Design, one of the predominant design teams behind The Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana, was seeking an evolution of its brand that would not negate the institutional visibility it had previously established. Building on the foundational mechanics of Envi’s existing identity, New Thought provided a universal rebrand, refined brand language, updated print collateral, and crafted a new website. The result was an entirely new, yet immediately recognizable identity for this award-winning interior design team.

Environmentally Inspired Design, a Layered Brand Narrative

New Thought began Envi’s rebrand by establishing a clear values position for the brand. This was articulated into a focused brand statement and tagline. Serving as foundational romance copy, the brand statement informs all creative work and positioning, while the tagline concretely communicates those values to market. The project culminated in the design of a new mark inspired by the lotus flowers populating Japanese espalier ponds. The refined identity included targeted overhauls of color, type, collateral, and signage.

Evoking Emotion Through Thoughtful Web Design

The beauty of Envi’s interiors often lies in the simplicity of their design. Relying on the images of Envi’s work to tell its story, New Thought designed a website that brought the quality of Envi’s work to the forefront. The website utilized strategically placed margins between graphic elements to establish a clean user interface, and large full-width content to bring audiences into Envi’s homes.

Envi’s audience continues to grow, proving that an updated brand with a clear message and portfolio-centric website can make a difference. Not only has the site recorded higher visitation since the beginning of the year, time on site has also increased substantially. Our contributions to Envi’s continuing brand evolution allow them to focus on creating personal, sophisticated spaces for their clientele.
